⚠️ Do not skip the security steps. The OPSEC setup in Steps 1–3 is not optional. Most problems — scams, losses, exposure — happen to people who skipped them.

Step 1: Set Up Tor Browser

Download Tor Browser from torproject.org only. Verify the GPG signature. Install and set Security Level to Safest.

  • Do not use Chrome, Firefox, or any other browser for .onion sites
  • Keep the window at its default size to avoid fingerprinting
  • Never install browser extensions in Tor Browser
  • Keep Tor Browser updated — security patches are critical
For maximum security, use Tails OS booted from a USB drive. Tor Browser is pre-installed. Everything runs in RAM and leaves no trace.

Full Tor setup guide: Security & OPSEC → Tor Browser Setup

Step 2: Add a VPN Layer

Connect to a no-log VPN before opening Tor Browser. This hides from your ISP that you're using Tor.

  • Mullvad VPN — accepts XMR, fully audited, best choice
  • ProtonVPN — Swiss-based, audited, free tier available

Setup order: VPN on → Open Tor Browser → Navigate to .onion

Never do it the other way around. See VPN + Tor guide.

Step 3: Get Monero (XMR)

Monero is the preferred currency for all darknet transactions. Unlike Bitcoin, XMR is private by default — amounts, senders, and receivers are all hidden on-chain.

a

Buy XMR Without KYC

Use a no-KYC exchange like OnionSwap, Bitania P2P, or LocalMonero. Avoid Binance/Coinbase — they require ID and log your transactions.

b

Store in Your Own Wallet

Never keep XMR on an exchange. Download the official Monero Wallet or use the built-in wallet on WarpZone Market.

c

If You Already Have BTC

Swap BTC → XMR on a no-KYC exchange before depositing to a market. This breaks the blockchain trail from your exchange account to the market.

Step 4: Find Verified Market Links

Phishing is the #1 cause of fund loss on darknet markets. Fake sites look identical to the real thing.

  • Use only links from our PGP-verified links page
  • Cross-reference with the market's official Dread thread (/d/WarpZoneMarket)
  • Never Google "WarpZone market link" — phishing sites dominate search results
  • Bookmark the correct .onion address after verifying it
  • Check that the URL matches exactly — character-by-character
⚠️ WarpZone Market's official address: warpzonvz5ldennsbrkymt5d66ab5i25puaghgouw3fekcer2bxukgid.onion — verify via PGP signature on our verified links page.

Step 5: Create Your Account

  • Choose a username that has never been used anywhere else
  • Use a strong, unique password (20+ characters, random)
  • Enable 2FA immediately after registration (TOTP — use an offline authenticator app)
  • Do not use your real name, email, or any identifying information
  • Set a login phrase — WarpZone shows this on the login page so you can confirm you're on the real site

Step 6: Set Up PGP

You need a PGP keypair to encrypt delivery addresses. On WarpZone, you can generate one directly in your account settings using the built-in PGP tools.

  • Generate a keypair in your profile → Security → PGP Keys
  • Save your private key and passphrase somewhere secure and offline
  • Add your public key to your profile so vendors can send encrypted messages to you
  • Verify vendor PGP keys before every order — compare fingerprints

Full guide: OPSEC → PGP Encryption

Step 7: Fund Your Wallet

  • Go to Wallet → Deposit → Copy your unique deposit address
  • Send XMR or BTC from your personal wallet to this address
  • Wait for required confirmations (XMR: 10 blocks, ~20 min; BTC: 1 block, ~10 min)
  • Do not deposit more than you plan to spend — only fund what you need for the current order
  • WarpZone uses a fresh deposit address for each deposit for privacy

Step 8: Find a Vendor

Choosing the right vendor is critical. Don't buy from anyone without checking:

  • Review count — at least 50 completed orders before trusting
  • Rating — look for 4.7+ out of 5.0
  • Review content — read the actual text, not just the star score. Look for specific feedback about stealth, speed, and quality
  • Dread presence — does the vendor post on Dread? Community-visible vendors are more accountable
  • PGP key — does the vendor have an active, unexpired PGP key?
  • Response time — check their average message response time in their profile

Step 9: Place Your Order

1

Add to Cart

Click Add to Cart on the listing. Review the total including any shipping costs.

2

Encrypt Your Address

In the order form, paste your delivery address. Click Encrypt with Vendor PGP — the built-in tool handles this. Never submit an unencrypted address.

3

Select Escrow Type

Choose Multisig Escrow (recommended) or standard escrow. Multisig is always safer — see how it works.

4

Confirm and Pay

Review order summary, confirm, and funds are moved from your wallet to the escrow address.

5

Wait and Track

Check your orders page for status updates. Vendor will mark as dispatched when shipped. You'll receive a notification.

Step 10: After Delivery

  • When your order arrives, mark it as Received in your orders page
  • This releases funds from escrow to the vendor
  • Leave an honest review — the community depends on accurate feedback
  • If something is wrong, do not mark as received — open a dispute instead
  • Finalise early (FE) only for Top Vendor level vendors you have personally verified — never for newcomers

⚖️ Handling Disputes

If your order goes wrong — not delivered, wrong item, damaged — follow these steps:

1

Message the Vendor First

Give them 48–72 hours to respond and resolve. Most issues are solved directly without needing a formal dispute.

2

Open a Dispute

If no resolution, open a formal dispute from your Orders page. State your case clearly with evidence.

3

Jury Review

WarpZone's jury system assigns 5 verified users to review both sides. Majority vote decides.

4

Resolution

Multisig transaction executes according to the jury decision. Refund or release happens on-chain, transparently.

Always keep screenshots of your order, messages, and any tracking information. This evidence is essential in a dispute.
